Shelmet Construction - Portland Deck Builder Reviews

Above & beyond

Overall Rating

Steve & his crew are hard working, quick, efficient, & did a beautiful job rebuilding my mother's very large, high deck. She is elderly, & transparency was very important to Steve. He went over everything with her, & helped her select Trex decking so it is low maintenance, & helped her select a color that goes very nicely with the house. He also took the time, & initiative to keep my brother & I informed, & updated on the status. All that & they kept the workspace clean & contained at the end of the day. Steve & his guys went above & beyond in the work they did, & in the caring way they worked with my mother. We will enjoy this deck very much & are happy knowing it is safe & will last for decades & decades (longer than the house?).

Thankful for Steve and team!

We loved Steve and Justin so much we already hired them for our next project AND they are talking to our neighbor about a similar build. It’s been a weird week with a sick dog and lots of childcare swapping and so much more, but Steve and Justin have left the contractor piece of our week completely stress-free. Beautiful work. Lovely guys. Even our dogs and kid love them. Thankful that we know them.

The Best⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Steve and his crew came to my project yet to pick up the pieces of the last contractor that did a hit-and-run and took off with 15K and left a mess of my deck.  They showed up like seasoned professionals and turned my mess of a deck into a beautiful place for my family to spend time.  Knowing what I had already been through, they took extra care to let me know what was happening a long way, and even surprised me with a bar for my new deck.  To be honest this is the 1st time I didn't want the contractors to leave at the end of a job. I thoroughly enjoyed having them working at my home and have already hired them back to the other projects.
